Keep your eyes on the Gold!

Good day once again, I am glad to share my heart with you this beautiful morning. Keep your eyes on the Gold! Many of us may say, what do you mean by that? Or what type of gold is He talking about? Well let me get it accross to you right away; the gold am talking about is your vision, your purpose for life, that

one thing you can give anything to get, that one thing you can die for. That is the gold! I must emphasize here that; our gold are different. What we want in

life is not the same for everyone, even if we are twins. So the most important thing in life is for us to search/recognize that gold. When you recognize it

then you can plan to focus on it.

If you dont know how to recognize the gold may I suggest few steps you can take to do so;

1. What do you like doing?
2. What do you want to see yourself become in the nearest future?
3. What makes you happy?
4. What can you do to make your closest person love you?
5. What do you think about most of the time?

This are insightful questions! When you answer this questions you create the foundation for a better life for yourself. Take time to think alone, Write your

thought on an “idea pad”, review it, think more about it, and act on it.

So how do you keep your eyes on it?

Many us including me, may have realize that; sometimes we just discovered that we have not achieved anything for a period of time. Though we are busy! We are

merely doing routine. Things that are easy, not thought-driven, not challenging etc. To keeo your eyes on the gold you must take sometime each day to reflect

on your activity, ask if it is taking you towards your dream or just filling the hours? If its just filing the hour then you must change your direction,

change what you are doing. When you do this you will be able to redirect your energy towards the gold.

You know in life as in sport… it is the Gold that matters. So I charge you this moment to Focus on the Gold!

Aspire Beyond Comfort

Just couple of minutes ago as I went to get a recharge card from the vendor. Then on my way back to the office, a young man approached me for some support, wish I gladly supplied, but what amazed me most was that; this guy went to a great extend to let me know that He works. Which I said does not matter, all I know is that you needed to get home and needs a support.

After our conversation as I tried to go back to my office, the guy held my hand and told me man “I need promotion”, I said what? promotion? I do not work in your firm, so how do I promote you? Then He said, “I need to get a better job to make more money!”.

I took time to ask Him His greatest dream, then He said he’d wished to become a diver and very soon He will go for a specialized training to that effect. I said awesome! Then he told me, that in is current work (Security Guard), He does not like they way people treat Him so he need a change. Yea! its good to change and be comforted but that is not all that you need in life. So go for your dream while its still hot and withstand all the treatment.

The bottomline of this short story is to tell you how much “young” people are seeking comfort. When you have a dream burning hard in your heart, seek for all avenue to get it materialized. Don’t seek for a better paid-job that doesn’t have anything to do with your dream. If you do this, you will like it from the onset, but when responsibilities starts coming you will discover that the better paid-job is not enough to cope with your expenses.

So I charge you to “burn your boat”, follow your dream no matter what. Use the current little you are earning to pursue your dream. Don’t get trapped in the survival mentality. As you know;

A ship in the harbour is safe but that is not what it is meant for.

Go for your dream, at the end of the day what ever you get, will bring to you joy from the bottom of your heart, but when you seek comfort (which is short-lived) now and forget your dream, in the end you may have yourself to blame.

So get up now, start to think, go for your dream and we shall meet at the top.

Dear to dream!

The success of Obama is the revelation that, what ever we believe and stand for, pursue with all of our heart we can get it irrespective of the challenges.

Obama started life with a convinction to serve! He believes in equality and He worked for it. He started from the grassroot, to the top. He has broken records, He has written His name in the book of history. Truly, He has a dream.

I charge us this moment of challenges here and there, to dear to dream, to think big, to think out of the box, face all your challenges “an eye for an eye”, focus on the goal and you will get it. The world is on the path of change, another berlin wall just came down, another giant leap forward has been taken by mankind.You could be the next person to take yet another.

I believe that we have so many Obamas’ in this world, even some are inside of us. But it wont come out if we don’t believe we can do it. It will feel depressed if we have fears. So, right now, think deeply in your heart, what is that one thing you can die for? What is that one thing that makes you feel energized each time you think about it? You can start with a baby step, then another till you take the giant step which will launch you to the world.

Go start something, dear to dream!

Sometimes we think and reflect on how far we have gone in our lives… then something comes to mind… am I this, am I that… then another thought comes to mind, how did I get to this level? who lifted me? who inspired me? who helped me?

Some of this questions if answered genuinely, we come to realize that there used to be time in our life when we think we can be nobody, when all hopes seem blurred, when all candles seem burnt out… then someone comes to light up our candles, someone pressed the red spot on us… and we are back to life!

My New Appointment as Board Member

I am very glad to be invited to join the board of Naija Music Ltd. Naija music Ltd. is an entertainment outfit based in Lagos. Social Entrepreneurship

Ever thought of how you can add value to the community?  thinking of starting up an NGO? Or still thinking I want to make a change to the world! Yeah! All this can be achieved. There is a new way of thinking, the days of NGO as gone, they were unable to fullfil their set goals and objectives as they would have loved to. You know, no matter what you do, no matter how strong your passion is, there should be enough cash flow to keep the organization running. Here is the new philosphy, its call Social Entrepreneurship!

Social Entrepreneurship simply means: using business system/entrepreneural skill to organize and solve social problems. This is the new way of thinking. We do not need to expect people to financially support our course before we are able to do something. We should start to impart the community with our influence by starting up something.

Creating your own world

I feel so much uncomfortable each time I try to comprehend how people think and how they act. I later discovered that people will always remain who they are or possibly not the type we expect them to be. We can’t control everyone we meet in our life but we can control our own thought-process which is the entrance of everything into our heart. As we all know, everything comes from inside-out. Whatever we want to become in life comes from the inside based on things we have read, thought about or learned.

The ultimate power we have as human being is the ability to think and ability to arrange our thought to act accordingly. Therefore, whenever we come face-to-face with challenges or thinking pattern of people that is different from ours, we should try as much as possible to get over it and jump into our own world.

How to create your world

Creating your own world lies in your ability to remain who you are irrespective of what happens. You ability to remain calm after an unworthy abuse, your ability to be who you are when “little people” try to bring you down, your ability to focus on what is more important in your life, your ability to reach out for more, your ability to do good for those who hurt you, your ability to greet those who refuses to greet you, your ability to do good for your country even though it doesn’t have plan for you.

We can create our own world by keeping still, take quiet time to think about ourselves and life. The number one step to getting this started is to take-in good stuff. The good stuffs I mean are;

• reading good books,
• listening to good things,
• eating good food,
• dwelling amongst good and like-minded people.

This will keep you strong as you start out creating your own world.

I believe you know that Rome was not built in a day, so this will take time. You must be persistence by keeping the end in mind. You should remember that the road that leads to it is filled with thorns and stumps. So stay focused, stay energized and keep on keeping on. You shall arrive at the promise land.

Don’t Settle Down for Less

In life, don’t settle for less than your worth, if the experience is not going to make you be better for future endeavour. When you settle for it, you get more cheap things coming your way. So, when that persist for a long time, you are sure of a life-badly spent; full of regret and low self-esteem.

I challenge us to be the best we can be so as to get the best we can get. In life, no body really cares about how much you are worth until you quantify yourself.

Follow your heart, and pursue your dream.The ultimate satisfaction you can get is from the achievement of your dream.

This Month ask yourself these questions; Where I am, am I getting the the best for my worth or just sustaining? Am I on the right path to the achievement of my goals, dream and aspiration? Am I adding value? Am I developing? Am I better than yesterday? How long will I continue with this?

Your answers to these questions will define a new path in your life.

Social Networking this days has become a phenomena, the question now is “how do we make business sense with social networking?”. You may wonder why, but this is how a business leader should. Because for every task taken by business man/women, there is always a question of business sense (or business value so to speak).
